Description
What is Andarine (S4)?
Andarine, also known as S4, is a compound that belongs to the class of SARMs. SARMs (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators) are a unique type of hormone that act as ligands (molecules that bind to other molecules) and attach to cellular androgen receptors.
SARMs may offer benefits similar to those of traditional anabolic steroids (muscle mass gain, fat loss, increased bone density, enhanced strength…), but with a selective action—in this case, selective to bone and muscle.
Unlike anabolic steroids, SARMs do not cause systemic side effects such as liver toxicity, prostate enlargement, testicular atrophy, acne, gynecomastia, hair loss, or suppression of natural testosterone production post-cycle.
Advantages and Disadvantages of S4
Advantages:
(+) Very good potency (between Ostarine and RAD 140)
(+) Unlike full androgen receptor agonists like Ostarine or LGD-4033, Andarine acts as a partial agonist, which may result in less testosterone suppression
Disadvantage:
(-) Andarine may cause vision issues, such as a yellow tint or altered color perception. This side effect is temporary and normal vision returns once the compound is discontinued.
